Australia’s only conference dedicated to supporting regional changemakers is coming to Queensland.
In 2026, Social Impact in the Regions (SIITR) will bring together 250 leaders, innovators, community builders and changemakers from across Australia in Stanthorpe on the Southern Downs.
Now in its fourth year, SIITR has become a nationally recognised gathering for those working to strengthen regional, rural and remote communities. By 2026, the conference will have generated more than $1.2 million in economic impact for host regions across Australia.
This year’s program is anything but ordinary.
- Sessions aboard the historic Southern Downs Explorer steam train
- Conversations and experiences across eight Stanthorpe vineyards
- Workshops, panels and impact labs at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre
- 50 speakers sharing ideas, insights and practical solutions
- Dedicated space for the conversations and connections that spark lasting change
SIITR is also investing in the next generation through its expanded Youth Leadership Program, supporting young leaders from regional, rural and remote Queensland.
Built around innovative harmonic principles, the conference is designed to help communities create change that lasts.
Regional Australia is full of bold ideas and local leadership. SIITR is where those people come together to learn, collaborate and amplify impact.
